He is a Lawyer, Producer, writer, former Journalist, Public Speaker, Politician, Ex-Special Adviser, Ex Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, and the CEO of RMD Production Limited, White Water Limited and RMD Foundation.

Richard Mofe-Damijo attended Midwest College, Warri for his primary education.

After completion, RMD proceeded to the University of Benin, where he obtained a degree in Theatre Arts in 1983.

RMD started his acting career in a drama club at his secondary school.
After graduating from the university with a degree in theatre arts, he acted in the Nigerian television show Ripples in the late 1980s, marking the beginning of his professional acting journey.
Before this, he briefly worked as a writer at Concord Newspaper and also as a reporter for Metro and Quality magazine.
