Fredrick Nnaemeka Leonard is a popular Nigerian actor, producer and successful filmmaker. He was born on the 1st of May, 1976, and is over 46 years old.

Some years back, Fred requested that newspapers and bloggers should correct the information about him being in his 40s.
He further revealed in an interview, that he was in his late thirties and didn’t know where they got their figures from.

For those who don’t know,Fred Leonard is popularly known as “Freddie or the Film Lord in Nollywood“.

He hails from Nnewi in Anambra state, South-east Nigeria, and is an Igbo by tribe.

His late parents had two kids, Fred and his sister. He is the eldest, and his younger sister is a graduate of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos.

He lost his father in the year 2000 when he was 20 years old.

Also in 2016,16 years later, Frederick lost his dear mother and was 36 years old at the time.

Because of this, he became an orphan in his life as an adult, took responsibility and began to fend for himself and his younger sister.

Freddi started his Primary education at St. Peters Anglican Primary School in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos state, before he moved to Oregun High School for his Secondary school education

He is a graduate of biochemistry from Kaduna State Polytechnic and has a Higher national diploma HND.

In addition to this, Fred Leonard has also completed many certified film studies and courses that qualify him to become a celebrated filmmaker.

Frederick Leonard’s Career

The film lord began his career as a model, but came to Nollywood as an actor in 2001.

First, he acted in minor roles and played just one scene in his first movie.
After this, he took a break from acting and went back to school to complete his tertiary education.

After his graduation, he returned to the Nigerian film industry. In 2008, he got his first lead role in the movie titled Indian Doctor and became popular.

Again, in 2009, he played another role in the Nigerian TV series Disclosure, which was aired only on African Magic on DSTV as of 2009.

Earlier on, I told you that Frederick Leonard is also a model, he was a one-time brand ambassador of Diamond Ark Lifestyle, an Indian fashion firm.

In addition to this, Fred is also the CEO of Cineworx Entertainment production.

People accused Freddie of being gay because he was single for a very long time.

But he strongly denied this accusation, and claimed that it was his choice to remain single till he eventually met the woman of his choice, and got married to her.

Frederick Leonard was also accused of having a daughter. It was very shocking to him since he had never had a child outside wedlock before.

Similarly, an imposter used Fred’s name and face to carry out the act of getting 104 million from a woman who accused Fred of the crime.

Luckily, this imposter was caught and embarrassed while Freddie was free from that accusation.
